Georgia-Pacific Foundation President Curley M. Dossman, Jr. Joins Elite Ebony Power 100
The Ebony Power 100 is one of the highest recognitions of excellence, service and commitment to the African-American community. And we’re proud to now call one of our own a “Power” member – Georgia-Pacific Foundation President Curley M. Dossman, Jr.

“Chairman of 100 Black Men of America, President of the Georgia-Pacific Foundation and one of Atlanta’s most influential and respected leaders, Curley’s work is an inspiration to many and we are proud to include him on our annual list of the nation's most powerful African Americans,” said Desirée Rogers, CEO of Johnson Publishing Company, which owns Ebony Magazine.

Recognized for his achievements during the 2015 Ebony Power 100 event on Dec. 2 in Los Angeles, Dossman joins the ranks of hundreds of influential African-American leaders who have received this honor, including Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, John Legend, Lester Holt, Michael Strahan, Derek Jeter and many more. The 2015 Power 100 event brought together leaders from a wide range of industries – business, entertainment, media, medicine, religion and sports – to pay tribute to the 2015 inductees.

Dossman has committed his life and career to civic service. His influence can be seen through his leadership of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., a volunteer organization of 10,000 members dedicated to improving the quality of life for African-American youth through mentorship. He’s served as President of Georgia-Pacific Foundation since 1994, overseeing partnerships that benefit thousands of community-based programs, service projects and relief efforts. He also holds leadership positions with many community and civic organizations such as Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Metro Atlanta YMCA, Atlanta Victim Assistance Program, among many others.

Celebrating diversity and innovation driven by the entrepreneurial spirit, we’ve proudly supported the EBONY Power 100 Awards over the last few years and again in 2015. For more information and for a list of the 2015 honorees, visit EBONY.com.
