STRONG COMMUNITIES

Georgia-Pacific knows strong communities make life better for everyone: our employees, our neighbors, and our customers. That’s why we created the Georgia-Pacific Foundation in 1958 – to set aside resources to improve life in the communities where we live and work. We’ve worked with thousands of outstanding community-based programs, service projects and disaster relief efforts, focusing our investment in four areas we believe make the most impact: Education, Environment, Enrichment and Entrepreneurship.

Community Outreach

community_outreach2

When disaster strikes, we help communities with in-kind donations of household products such as Dixie cups, cutlery and plates, bath tissue and paper towels. We often ship building materials to affected areas to help communities rebuild. In addition, the Georgia-Pacific Foundation ServiceForce is made up of Georgia-Pacific employees and retirees who volunteer for company-sponsored service projects and individual charitable activities in their communities.
