Many Georgia-Pacific facilities and products are recognized and/or certified by third-party groups.

WOOD AND FIBER SOURCING

Georgia-Pacific’s wood and fiber sourcing practices are certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) Certified Sourcing Standard. This certification helps improve sustainable forestry practices on all lands, and assures that GP’s wood sourcing practices are legal and sustainable.

CHAIN OF CUSTODY

To respond to growing market demand for supply chain verification, Georgia-Pacific has chain of custody programs in place at many of our locations to track our wood fiber. These programs are certified by SFI, Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) and Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFCTM).

Wildlife Habitat Council

WHC
Several Georgia-Pacific facilities participate in the Wildlife Habitat Council’s (WHC) Wildlife at WorkSM program, which supports and certifies company efforts to create, restore and enhance wildlife habitat on their lands.
