Supplier Diversity Program
Georgia-Pacific is committed to supplier diversity as a key part of our overall strategic sourcing strategy. We strive to provide opportunities for qualified minority- and women-owned businesses to compete for our business on a fair and even basis. Today, many of these suppliers are providing quality products and services in almost every Georgia-Pacific division. Our Supplier Diversity program is designed to expand our network of qualified diverse suppliers. We believe that increasing our network of suppliers can help us lower our total cost, provide more innovative products and service to our customers, and satisfy their customer requirements for vendor participation. This creates value for our customers, which creates value for Georgia-Pacific.
Because, we also believe that it is important to help these diverse businesses grow, we are participants in several mentoring programs, like the Georgia Governor's Mentor/Protégé Program. Created to team established companies with emerging Georgia-based businesses, the partnership exposes small and newly formed businesses to the tools and techniques that large successful companies use in managing their businesses.

Recruiting Diverse Talent
Georgia-Pacific has developed strategic partnerships with organizations such as the National
Black MBA Association and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs to further our recruitment of
talented business people.
At annual conferences held by both of these associations, Georgia-Pacific employees staff recruiting booths where they meet potential candidates, and discuss career interests and current Georgia-Pacific job openings. "Our partnerships with these organizations give us a chance to meet many qualified, talented people who are a good fit for Georgia-Pacific, either now or at some point down the road," said Charles Jackson, leader of the Workforce Strategies group in corporate human resources.
