Supplier Diversity - 2nd Tier Initiative
Primary Supplier Participation in GP's 2nd Tier Initiative
Georgia-Pacific's contracted suppliers are encouraged to support GP's supplier diversity initiatives and their awarded contracts by making every effort to subcontract to diverse businesses. Special emphasis should be placed on the following diverse businesses: Minority-owned, Women-owned. Contracted suppliers must demonstrate that they have set in place a process to provide diverse businesses access to subcontracting opportunities. Where products or services directly relating to the GP account cannot be subcontracted, indirect subcontracting in non-essential areas is acceptable.
Our prime supplier's diverse subcontracting plan and compliance with this policy will be discussed and reviewed during supplier's periodic reviews with GP's purchasing departments.
2nd Tier Reporting Process
Contracted suppliers must provide Georgia-Pacific a quarterly report showing the diverse vendors they have subcontracted their direct or indirect purchases to. Primary suppliers participating in the program will be given their log in information to access the on-line 2nd Tier Reporting System.
