Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Georgia-Pacific Professional’s enMotion® dispensers are already a sustainability success story because of their ability to reduce towel usage by up to 30 percent compared to standard folded towels. That story is getting a new chapter with a program to recycle dispensers that are replaced by GP Professional, and to repair, refurbish or recycle existing Georgia-Pacific dispensers.
When a customer contacts GP about replacing their current dispensing system, the company schedules a visit. Based on an evaluation, GP will either refurbish the dispenser for future use or arrange to recycle all the appropriate components. One recycling partner on the West Coast turns the plastic from the dispenser cases into auto parts.
To date, the program has recovered almost 20,000 dispensers.
