Mill History Built in 1950, the Philomath mill operated under two different ownerships before Georgia-Pacific purchased it in 1992. At that time, GP's Toledo timberlands were just coming of size after their prior harvest. They were judged to be a natural fit for Philomath. The mill has a maxi headrig, a planer and dry kilns.
