DensDeck® Roof Boards

- Defining Durable for Nearly 25 Years

Durable, Fiberglass Mat Roof Boards

Durability in a roof system means increased protection for the property and people inside. DensDeck® roof boards add that durability by helping to protect the roof against wind damage, fire, hail, foot traffic, moisture exposure and sound intrusion. That in turn may lead to a lower total cost of ownership through easier maintenance and longer life.

Fire Resistance

An excellent thermal barrier, DensDeck roof boards, with their noncombustible* core, provide greater fire protection than other conventional commercial roofing boards. As an underlayment, they help prevent membranes and adhesives from fueling a fire from below the roof. As a cover board, they help prevent fires from spreading to the interior. DensDeckĀ® coverboards are UL Classified and included in numerous assemblies with FM fire ratings.

Wind Uplift

As a cover board, DensDeck® Prime transfers the destructive force of wind through the adhesive or fasteners to the structural deck. This helps resist wind uplift and blow-offs. Assemblies using DensDeck Prime often exceed FM requirements.**

Hail Impact Resistance

Hail can cause costly damage to a low-slope roof system. The contents of the building are also at risk when the roof system is damaged. DensDeck helps mitigate the risk of hail damage.

Water Intrusion

As a roof underlayment or membrane support layer, fiberglass mat DensDeck helps support moisture resistance and stability when conditions change from wet to dry - and back. In self-adhered metal roof and roof tile applications, DensDeck DuraGuard panels support the membranes to prevent leaks.

Foot Traffic

DensDeck roof board acts as an effective barrier against damage from foot traffic, workers dropping tools around roof-mounted equipment, and construction loads. Versatile DensDeck is designed to stabilize the roof deck and provide the durability for demanding commercial applications.
