HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATE PROGRAM

The Georgia-Pacific Human Resources Associates Program is a full-time entry level program designed to train and develop Human Resource (HR) talent within Georgia-Pacific. Our HR Associates will complete a 12 - 24 month training and development plan, which includes:

Our HR Associates are expected to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and energy to support and learn from a team of human resource professionals. Upon completion of the development plan, HR Associates may be offered an opportunity to work within a manufacturing facility as an HR professional or manager.

ACCOUNTING, INTERNAL AUDIT AND TAX

The Georgia-Pacific Accounting, Internal Audit and Tax Program is an 8 week summer internship designed to provide meaningful real world experience. Our interns will gain exposure to the products that GP manufactures as well as the diverse accounting, audit and tax functions in our corporate and field locations. Planned career networking events and focused mentoring prepare our interns for a career within the Georgia-Pacific financial groups.

SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTICS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Georgia-Pacific Supply Chain and Logistics Program is a six month internship designed to give student interns exposure to the various career paths available within our Supply Chain organization in both manufacturing facilities and corporate headquarters. Our interns will be placed in one of the following areas of concentration:

ENTRY LEVEL SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM

The Georgia-Pacific Entry Level S&H Program is a 12-month program designed to prepare participants for a career in safety and health at GP, with an exposure to the Global Safety & Health Department and two GP manufacturing facilities. ELP participants will be assigned to Global Safety & Health at GP's headquarters in Atlanta for two months, a GP manufacturing facility for five months, and then a second manufacturing facility in a different business unit in the same general geographical area for five months. After completing the ELP Program, participants will go to one of GP's 300 facilities as a safety and health professional.

Program Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or other related concentration with a GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of occupational safety and health and/or industrial ygiene. OSHA 10- or 30-hour card a plus.
  • At least one internship or co-op job in a manufacturing environment. Ability to relocate per program requirements.
