Georgia-Pacific's HR Associates program allows you to experience a variety of responsibilities working in our Atlanta headquarters office or in field locations. The goal of this rotational program is to develop strong HR professionals to work in Georgia-Pacific mill locations.

Human resource opportunities

The HR Associates program is a two-year program designed to provide exposure to both corporate and divisional HR. Participants will participate in one of two rotations. In the corporate rotation, participants will complete a one-year divisional rotation and then complete a second rotation in a corporate role. At the end of the two years, participants are required to relocate to a mill to continue working as an HR professional with Georgia-Pacific. In the field rotation, the participant will spend two years in a mill location and relocate to another mill at the end of the two-year rotation. Requirements for human resources internships

  • Students should have a bachelor's degree in human resources or a minor with HR concentration
  • Minimum of 3.0 grade point average in major courses
  • At least one class in labor relations is preferred
  • HR internship or co-op experience is preferred
