Georgia-Pacific
Environment To Georgia-Pacific, being an environmental leader means using natural resources wisely and operating within high environmental standards. But it also means promoting environmental stewardship and awareness throughout and beyond the communities where we operate. We believe a healthy environment is essential to healthy communities and a thriving society.

That's why the company invests in organizations that foster and promote environmental responsibility and provide environmental learning opportunities, including those that promote source reduction, recycling, reuse, and clean communities. During 2002 and 2003, the Georgia-Pacific Foundation invested more than $1.1 million in environmental organizations and programs.

Our environmental investment priorities
  • Resource conservation (recycling, tree planting, fish and wildlife habitat preservation)
  • Parks/nature trails/recreation areas
  • Environmental education
