Georgia-Pacific
Containerboard
Cedar Springs, Ga. Located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in southwest Georgia, Georgia-Pacific's Cedar Springs containerboard mill produced its first roll of linerboard in September 1963 and added a second linerboard machine and a corrugating medium machine in 1967.

In 1978, the mill expanded to increase production by 300 tpd and has continued to increase production to the present rate of more than a million tons annually.

A materials testing lab is also located at the Cedar Springs facility. The lab opened its doors in 1991 and serves as a testing and information resource for our independent customers, as well as Georgia-Pacific box plants and containerboard mills. The materials test lab also works to establish requirements for future products and provide technical product development expertise.

The Cedar Springs operations continue the GP heritage of quality papermaking that began decades ago. And just as it was back then, we are committed to meeting the needs of our customers.
