Palatka Pulp and Paper Operations

Back then – when it all began for us – bread cost 13 cents a loaf, the tubeless tire and the transistor were the new wonders of the day, and the post-World War II generation that would become known as "baby boomers" was just getting out of diapers. Yet, it was a time of possibilities and new beginnings. And it was in this atmosphere that a community in need of jobs and a company in need of a community got together and took a chance on each other. This collaboration resulted in the Hudson Pulp & Paper Corp. mill, which made its first paper in Palatka, Florida, on the evening of November 5, 1947.
