The Brawny Man Moustache You…Will You Promote Men’s Health?

Updated Thu November 6, 2014

Brawny Man

It’s been over a decade since The Brawny Man™ shaved his moustache and debuted the smooth upper lip he’s known for today. But now, in conjunction with The Movember Foundation, every week in November he’ll be sporting a new ‘stache.  It’s all to help change the face of men’s health issues including prostate and testicular cancers and mental health.

The Brawny Man, a perennial household icon, was actually no stranger to the ‘stache when he first made his debut in 1974.  He may have shaved it back in 2003, but temporarily going back to his roots to grow the conversation about men’s health seemed like the right thing to do.

As Georgia-Pacific’s team captain, The Brawny Man is encouraging everyone to get in on the Movember movement by signing up at and joining Team Georgia-Pacific. After that, just grow your ‘stache and share your pics throughout the month. And it’s not just for men; women can also participate by encouraging the men in their lives. Follow Brawny® on Facebook and Twitter and join in the #GPMovember conversation!
