Speaking of excelling students, the 50 children of employees who earned a Georgia-Pacific Foundation college scholarship probably experienced tutelage from these titles!
Again this year we recognized high-performers from across the country for their academic achievement. Our annual Georgia-Pacific Foundation Scholarship Program for Employees’ Children awards every recipient a total of $8,000 for up to four years of full-time college undergraduate study.
We’re proud to have awarded 1,400 scholarships totaling more than $11 million since the program began in 1988.
This year’s star-achievers want to become engineers, teachers, graphic designers and astronauts, among many professions. They include three National Merit Scholars, a soon-to-be Eagle Scout, and a professional musician. They have excelled in academics and athletics as well as generously given back to their communities.
We can’t wait to see what more they’ll accomplish!
