Georgia-Pacific's headquarters building in Atlanta grows a moustache to help raise awareness of men's health issues.
Movember is an annual event involving the growth of moustaches during November to raise awareness of men’s health issues. Along with the Movember Foundation, we’re encouraging everyone to get in on the “Mo Bro” movement.
While growing moustaches for are a fun way to show support, Movember is really about encouraging men to take care of their health, such as signing up for an annual physical, as well as other important screenings for prostate and testicular cancers. You know, topics that most guys simply aren’t too keen on chatting about while watching the big game…even though such conversations have serious life-saving potential. Women can support this cause too by joining a team and encouraging the men in their lives to get checked.
It’s only fitting that Georgia-Pacific’s Movember team captain be the manliest of men – The Brawny Man™. He’s also chipping in $5,000 to start off the team’s Mo-mentum.
It’s been over a decade since The Brawny Man shaved his moustache. But now, in conjunction with The Movember Foundation, every week in November he’ll be sporting a new ‘stache. Check him out on @Brawny and on Facebook and follow along at #GPMovember.
