GP Cellulose Provides New Home for United Way in Memphis

Many of the products Georgia-Pacific makes are centered on the home and families – you could say home is where our heart is. So, it's fitting that our GP Cellulose business recently donated its Memphis office building, which will provide a new home to United Way of the Mid-South.

Science Saturdays Ignites Student Passion

Georgia-Pacific is helping to "bubble up" a passion for science for students in Lithonia, Ga. What started out as one dad's visit to E.L. Bouie Theme School for Career Day has turned into a program that gets more kids excited about science.

Girls Get Inspired By Local Engineering Program

To get more girls "engaged in engineering," Georgia-Pacific has been lending a hand to the GEE (Girls Engaged in Engineering) initiative in Crossett, Ark. Through its Crossett plant, GP provides products and volunteers to Crossett Middle School for the GEE project, which gives female students the chance to study engineering concepts and apply them through hands-on learning.

'Powerbrokers' Celebrated at EBONY Power 100

Georgia-Pacific joined EBONY magazine to celebrate the achievements of African-American leaders from across the nation at the EBONY Power 100 gala. Held in November at the historic Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, the night paid tribute to some of the nation's most influential African-Americans, including honorees Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Michael Strahan, Derek Jeter, LeBron James and many more.

Boys & Girls Clubs Volunteer Spotlight

Call it cliché, but it's true – Georgia-Pacific's involvement with Boys & Girls Clubs makes me proud to be an employee at GP. Not only do our cash contributions demonstrate the value we have for the communities where our businesses thrive, but I'm proud to work with team members who genuinely care about their communities.

Think You Know GP?

Though you might not be aware of everything Georgia-Pacific makes, chances are there's a GP product somewhere in your home. With nearly 90 years in the pulp and paper business, we create many familiar household brands, including the ones featured in this new GP video, "You Know Georgia-Pacific."
