Georgia‐Pacific (G‐P) is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of building and paper products, packaging, as well as cellulose and related chemicals. GP PRO, the business‐to‐business arm of G‐P, is home to some of the world’s most well‐known brands like enMotion® paper towels, Compact® toilet paper, Brawny® disposable cloths and Dixie® tabletop products.

One of the best ways to explore the possibilities is through our prestigious jumpstart program, where carefully selected candidates are trained, educated and exposed to every facet of the business from sales and marketing, to finance and category.

Jumpstart Intern Program

A JumpStart internship is a unique, 9‐week paid program with a formalized training curriculum designed to maximize participation so that candidates leave the program with enhanced fundamental business skills. The program places emphasis on sales strategy and technique, and exposure to a variety of other business areas to round out the experience.

Summer internships are primarily intended for students who are within 1‐2 years of completing a business‐related degree at an accredited college or university.

High‐performing, self‐starting JumpStart summer interns will be considered, upon graduation from their degree programs, for full‐time employment in the JumpStart full‐time program. This offer is conditional based on indivudal intern performance and business need.

Based out of Atlanta, GA this paid engagement includes:

  • 9‐week summer internship at G‐P headquarters in Atlanta, GA (includes housing)
  • Project work in a variety of business applications
  • Exposure to business leaders, manufacturing facilities, departmental operations, and product/service education
  • Product and brand education
  • Market‐Based Management (MBM®) training, our holistic approach to management that is the basis of GP PRO’s culture

JumpStart Full‐Time Program

The full‐time JumpStart training program is a 12‐week program focused on core business and capability training. Over the course of this 12‐week program, participants take a deep dive into the lifecycle of bringing a product to market as well as a close look at the GP PRO brands.

Following the 12‐week core training program, participants selfselect into one of two professional tracks: Sales or Non‐Sales. Both tracks offer multiple career options following the training period.

Sales Track

Sales Track participants will receive an additional 3‐12 months of sales‐specific training including:

  • Sales simulations
  • Actual customer selling engagements via the phone
  • Field work with GP PRO Sales Professionals across the U.S.
  • Project work in a variety of business applications

Following the completion of the additional sales training period, sales participants are placed into roles that best complement their skills and satisfy real business needs. Specific roles may include:

  • Field Sales Account Executive
    May require relocation to an assigned territory such as Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Mineappolis, San Francisco, or Seattle, among others
  • Virtual Sales Account Executive
    Typically based in our Atlanta Headquarters with a team of virtual sales professionals

Non-Sales Track

Non-Sales Track participants will either enter an additional training period or move into available full-time business opportunities which may include:

  • Pricing Analyst
  • Digital/Marketing Associate
  • Associate Category Manager
