GP’s 6-month supply chain co-op program spans the duration of one semester of school (either January – June or June – December), and offers real-world application for the supply chain knowledge you have gained in the classroom. You will be placed into one of our supply chain management organizations, including but not limited to strategic sourcing, transportation logistics, warehouse logistics, supply/demand planning, supply chain analytics, or procurement operations. Based out of Atlanta, Georgia or one of GP’s operating facilities, 6-Month interns will gain a deep understanding of the end-to-end supply chain as it relates to GP’s manufacturing operations through job shadowing, mentorship, deep dives, and event field trips!
GP’s Summer Supply Chain Internship program is designed for students interested in applying their supply chain classroom knowledge in a challenging, fast-paced work setting. The summer interns are placed into a specific area of supply chain specialty. During the summer program, interns are encouraged to build a professional network among GP’s other supply chain divisions and other business sectors to gain a high-level understanding of the end-to-end supply chain as it is related to our manufacturing operations.
Whether your degree is in supply chain, operations management, data analytics, infosystems management, or any related discipline – the Procurement Specialist (PS) program affords you more ways to succeed. Experience one-on-one professional guidance, numerous career paths, and the necessary buying power to achieve your career goals. For the first 4-12 months in the program, Procurement Specialists will be assigned to a specific manufacturing facility and trained on the intricacies of procurement operations, all while receiving personal mentorship from a seasoned procurement professional. After this experiential training period, your next role could be a storeroom manager, buyer, or other countless opportunities at one of Georgia-Pacific’s operating facilities.
