John Mulcahy

Senior Vice President, Communications, Public Affairs and Stewardship

John Mulcahy leads Georgia-Pacific’s communications, public affairs and stewardship capability as senior vice president. In communicating the company’s principles and performance, the capabilities John oversees help build trust and confidence in Georgia-Pacific with employees, customers, communities and key stakeholders.

John joined GP in 1987 and held supply chain, business development, and category management roles in several GP businesses before being named vice president of sustainability for Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products in 2012. In 2018, he stepped into his previous role of vice president of stewardship for Georgia-Pacific.

Passionate about community impact and conservation, John currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Conservancy and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL). He also serves on the CHRIS 180 Advisory Committee and is President of the Lafayette College Alumni Association Board. John has been involved with several associations in the paper and packaging industry and is currently a participant in Leadership Atlanta.

John holds a bachelor's degree in economics and business from Lafayette College and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University.
