Community: Savannah River Mill
At Georgia-Pacific’s Savannah River Mill, we strive to be a valued member of the Effingham County community.
From United Way and the Effingham County school system to the local chamber of commerce and Rotary clubs, we’ve built strong partnerships over the years that have allowed us to make a difference in the community our mill calls home. On any given week, you can find us serving as classroom volunteer instructors, local parade participants team volunteers, United Way campaign team members, board members and as volunteers for other dynamic programs. With approximately 40 percent of our workforce living in Effingham County, we’re helping those who are part of our GP family, too.
